Another failing of our educational system

I don't believe they still teach "civics" in high school, which goes part of the way toward explaining why the undoubtedly-earnest Ms. Redington has never heard of the concept of jury nullification. Too bad, that. Seemed to me a wasted, lovely opportunity for the exercise of that rarely-exercised prerogative. [cough] drug possession cases [cough, hack].

So the message is he was so frickin guilty that even a saintly momma type who liked him threw the book at him.

Of course sitting safely on my arse in the frozen north, I can't see much point in locking the poindexter up. He's suffered enough. A federal conviction for lying probably diqualifies him for most professions other than talk radio, elected office or ownership of the New York Yankees
