Trying

A friend suggested I start watching pro football if I miss college. Well, that would mean following my team the Lions. Anyone who watched the hapless Lions lose today to Dallas knows that's not gonna happen. They're not even worthy of a wild card slot.

Go ahead. They truly stink--not like the Wolverines who just weren't good enough.

It was a bunch of years ago when Billy Sims joined the team and they started 4-0 and 5-1, and all they had to do was play .500 to ease into the playoffs, and they couldn't manage it. Well, the same thing is happening now.

They are better than last year by a lot. I was at the game and though we all knew for the whole second half that they would find a way to lose, they did give an entertaining game. (This was my first pro football game ever) Anyway, half or more than half of the fans were dressed in cowboy rootin clothes, though clearly most were from Detroit. Still they rooted both ways. When the Lions were looking good there was a great majority cheering them on. When the Lions fall was inevitable the "Dallas" crowd reved up.

The Lions' problem is due no doubt to the lack of a fence keeping out the undesirables from Windsor
