TKO

Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Obama will, I assume, play well with the Dem base. Before it, Barack was about ten points behind Hillary in national polls. If it gives him a bump, it may save him on Super Tuesday. (And don't forget the Democrats don't play winner-take-all.)

But if it does gets him the nomination, it's worth noting Ted isn't quite as popular with the public at large. I wonder if the Repubs will use footage of Ted saying Obama is his kind of guy?

The next two weeks are Ted's staring role and he probably would not be seen that much in a general-- equivalent to how the Repubs use Rush Limbaugh/Pat Robertson types in the primaries v. the general (remember the oops in 88 when they let let Rev Pat denounce witchcraft at the convention?)

Rush is his own man. He's front and center no matter what is happening, no one uses him.

As for Robertson, didn't The Repubs win in 88?

The endorsement I found perplexing was Carolyn Kennedy's. Saying that someone reminds you of your dad -- when your dad died when you were three years old -- is kind of odd to me.

Actually, she was almost six when her father died, so that's a completely different thing.
