Motive Voters

A growing chorus is suggesting if Obama loses, it'll be due to racism. What effect might this claim have on the race?

My guess is, unless it's made directly by Obama people, it won't help McCain enough to make a difference.

Obama can only be hurt by any mention of the word "racism" in this campaign. Those concerned about it are already voting for him and the word wil scare those afraid of political correctness. (which is no doubt why conservative organizations are taking the lead in talking about it)

Republicans bring it up? There's a long list of Democrats, from Obama on down, who can't help but talk about racism. It's such a reflex in Democrats they probably have to consciously stop themselves from saying it. But after the election, expect a torrent.
