Oh The Humanity

Here's a photo essay: "Twenty Celebrities that have Aged Misterably."

I think it's a bit unfair. A lot of it is just normal aging, and, being celebrities, most of them had greater heights from which to fall.

To top off LAGuy's comment, the comparison is further skewed by pairing a "best" picture - posed, airbrushed, made up against a "worst" picture- candid and unprepared. While no doubt people age (Kathleen Turner really looks like my older next door neighbor lady, which makes me think the neighbor may have been hot 20 or 30 years ago), these sorts of comparison shots could have been done using contemporaneous best and worst shots and achieved the same visual effect.

But including Haley Joel Osmont is kind of hilarious, isn't it?

Haley Joes Osment aged a lot better than Anthony Michael Hall. The gold standard for bad child aging is Tina Yothers.

Jerry Mathers, Danny Bonaduce and Leif Ericsson didn't fare so well either but the cake goes to Jackie Earl Haley. Went from cute kid to to looking like a child molester. Gotta give him credit for using his new look to get parts though.

Jackie Earl Haley was always the creepiest of kid actors, and there's no second place. He grew up exactly as you'd expect.

Well- I think that's hindsight- you know what he looks like now and therefore you see the incipient ugliness in the kid-

But back in the day, before it was clear how he was going to grow, I remember girls saying he was cute in the Bad News Bears movies

Watch The Day Of The Locust and you will change your mind forever. He was less creepy as the child molester in Little Children.
