By Any Other Name

I watched the premiere of the Jay Leno Show (i.e., The End Of Prime Time As We Know It). Dreadful.

It's essentially Jay's Tonight Show, which itself I didn't consider worth watching. The only thing that worked was they lucked out and had Kanye West scheduled to perform, and so got to interview him over his recent controversy.

We'll see how the numbers shake out, but the show will have to continue without me.

OK is it just me but does ambushing a young guy (who in the interview up till them was halting and somewhat inarticulate) with questions from a beaming TV personality about his recently dead mother's opinion of his admitted gross social gaffe count as "great TV" like the talking heads were saying this morning (well on NBC at least).

I got home late and stumbled into the middle of this interview last night and thought it was a cringeworthy embarrassing moment for all of the parties.

If there are more interviews like that, Jay's new show might be interesting in a train wreck sort of way
