Bar None

I see Butterfinger is still using "Nobody's Gonna Lay a Finger on My Butterfinger."

I imagine it's possible to have a worse slogan than this. I just can't think of one.

This is bad in a different way (maybe not so bad though since I still remember it 25 years later)

Starts Bold.
Finishes Clean.
Refreshes Completely.

(Guess the product- its from a well known company though the product may no longer exist)

I'm guessing it's either detergent, gum or a laxative.

One of the best new consumer products of 1989 (look it up)- Michelob Dry (based on a Japanese brewing process )- You can still find stuff on ebay (neon signs etc) containing the apocryphal campaign slogan:

"Our longer Dry Brew method of brewing used the finest natural ingredients to produce a beer that starts bold, finishes clean, and refreshes completely. The result is a unique taste experience of this highly satisfying and extremely drinkable beer."

A fancy way to say pisswater

"Extremely drinkable." Now there's a phrase that fills one with confidence.

Then again the Butterfinger slogan wasn't quite so bad when Bart Simpson was saying it- I mean, he's expected to be obnoxious
