That's About It

The offense had some problems, but scored enough to win. Once again, it's the defense that lost the game for the Wolverines, 30-28. Iowa's a decent team, but beatable.

The season's essentially over. No chance to be rated. Not much hope of a bowl game.

Oh esteemed guru of college football. I disagree with your assessment. I believe that the fumbled punt (on the virtual doorstep) and Rodriguez not bringing Shoelace in earlier for an ineffective and picked-off Forcier were the main reasons.

And as far as being rated: The squad was 3-9 last year and their top two QB's are true freshmen; so 6-6 would be an excellent season.

In any close game, there are a lot of reasons for the loss, but, overall, you can't expect a team to keep winning, no matter what the offense, if the defense keeps giving up 30 points or more.
