Well, I know I should never stick my chin out like this, especially in LAGuy's direction, bathrobe or not, but how many rock duos have there been? I get stuck after Hall and Oates, and I'm not quite sure they're a rock duo.
There are a fair amount if you start counting all the couples like Sonny and Cher and allow folkie acts to be rock. There's also Simon and Garfunkel, the White Stripes, Sparks and a bunch of lesser known names. like the Black Keys or Ghost Mice and one-offs like Page and Plant or Stills/Young.
Anyway, they're great by any standard.
What about the Thompson Twins.
