Bring in Mickey and the job'll be done

Now here's a trade:

"Ezra Klein leaving Washington Post"

"The Volokh Conspiracy joins the Washington Post"

Maybe Ezra could do a content versus clicks chart before he goes.

Hmm. I can't imagine that Volokh's blog will improve as a result. Best case, it remains the same and Volokh makes more money?

The Volokh Conspiracy is a friend of Pajama Guy, as readers may know. But I'm still a little confused about the whole thing. Anyone could go to the Conspiracy in the past--now they have to go through the Post? Will the blog change its subject matter to fit the new position?

Eugene is gainfully employed, of course, so he doesn't need to do it to make a living, but he's now become a brand name. Heck, he can go independent again if he wants (as some bloggers making a living at it have done). As far as influence, do Conspiracy members have more as bloggers than as professors, or writers of serious scholarship? It's a brave new world.
