Crabman

Alas, the two teams I was rooting against on Sunday will be facing off in the Super Bowl. Why don't I like them? I have my reasons.  If it weren't for the commercials I might not even watch the game.

That said, it could be a classic Super Bowl, with the best defense--the Seahawks--versus the best offense--the Broncos. (Though I find both teams offensive.) I believe the Seahawks are slight favorites, but I wonder if most fans wouldn't call it even.

Erin Andrews is lucky she is pretty because she really freezes up at actual breaking news.

Are you trying to provoke a Richard Sherman type reposne from Denver Guy!

I was routing for Seattle because I thought the 49ers were the more dangerous team (and they certainly got ripped by the officiating on Sunday). In comparing the two games, I thought the AFC matchup was extremely professional - both teams making hardly any errors, and the best team clearly won.

But the NFC game seemed fraught with errors, bad judgements, and nerves, which is why I think Denver is the favorite for the Superbowl.

So what's not to like in the Broncos, if your home team isn't in it?

I wasn't planning on getting into it, but I've had something against Peyton Manning since his college days. It's 1997, the Wolverines go undefeated, and it looks like they're the top team in college football. The only other team that might claim to be best is undefeated Nebraska, but they're due to face the great Peyton Manning and Tennessee in the Orange Bowl, so if they lose, no one can claim the Wolverines aren't the best. What happens? Manning laid down and died, and the Cornhuskers won 42-17, forever tainting the National Championship that Michigan enjoyed that year.
