The same thing he'll do if he loses

I hope to God this is just wishful thinking from the home towner paper. Win or lose, Kasich will decide the people love him by acclamation and the Republican Party should nominate him above all others.

If God loves America, Kasich will come in third. I fear, though, he might well finish first. Godspeed, Trump voters.

The real story is it was a good night for Hillary Clinton. Not because she did well against Sanders. She was always going to get the nomination. Rather, she can breathe a sigh of relief because the Republicans have voted away Rubio, their only chance of beating her, and she knows nothing can stop her now. (You don't think an indictment is going to stop her, do you? That would be sillier than thinking Cruz or Trump could beat her.)

CG, will you be starting #neverKasich? With Kasich's win, there is still a chance of a contested convention yielding something other than a Trump nomination. But clearly the laternative would be Cruz or Kasich both on the ticket (who's on top depends on the delegate count at the time of the convention. Cruz certainly won't beat Trump in places like NY or NJ or CA, but if by some chance Kasich does, he comes out with more delegates than Cruz and calls the shots if there will be a serious effort to oust Trump.

Alternatively, I see Trump taking Kasich as his VP because he would need Ohio to beat Hillary and he lost among Republicans there. He doesn't need Rubio, who he is more popular than in FL. Or maybe he will look for an anti-establishment Democrat to push the crossover votes (Ralph Nader is too old, but someone like that).

Why are the only alternative Cruz and Kasich or Trump and Kasich (or Trump and Cruz)? We're not used to open convention, but after 25 ballots, people start to consider other things.

By the way, Trump, or the GOP in general, sure does need Rubio in Florida. Rubio is far more popular there. He's also more popular in almost every other state of the nation, but the GOP decided to toss him aside.

Yeah Rubio was so popular nobody voted for him.

It's pretty obvious Cruz will be the invisible man from here on out and Kasich is destiny. We'll see if anyone falls for it. I still predict either Trump Hillary or Hillary Trump. That's what this country needs, is a little bipartisan healing.

Rubio got less votes than Trump in most states among Republican primary voters in split votes, but in every poll--not some, EVERY--he is much more popular in the general population than Trump. For that matter, in general polls, he's more popular than Hillary Clinton (who, in turn, is far more popular than Donald Trump).

Oh well, if the GOP has a death wish, that's their business.

While I agree with the facts, polls this early don't mean much. It's fair to say Rubio needs more seasoning. He needs to come across as more genuine, and he needs to handle debates better. He'll be back, especially after the immigration issue is solved ***rolls eyes***.

Rubio doesn't need more seasoning, any more than Barack Obama did eight years ago. The Republican voters screwed up, it's that simple.

As for the immigration issue, not only won't it be solved, it can't be solved.
